Kite surfing: Camber Sands Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 25 to 35 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 to 4 ft waves, close togethe Air Temperature: 7 degrees Sea Temperature: 7 degrees Weather: Overcast, then sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Waves were extremely close together, and wind was with tide, so staying
upwind was extremely difficult. The surf was all blown out, so there was
lots of white water.
The wind was steady to begin with, but picked up to over 30 knots after a
couple of hours. Everybody was blown off the water.
Wind continued to be dangerously gusty, and several people got into
difficulties.
In the afternoon, the wind dropped off, but remained extremely gusty.
Managed to get out again, but gusts, waves and tide were creating such a
problem that staying upwind was not possible.
